LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Beyonce wants to be a superhero.

The pop star, whose new album, "I Am... Sasha Fierce," is due Nov. 18, has told the Los Angeles Times that she wants to play Wonder Woman on the big screen.

"I want to do a superhero movie and what would be better than Wonder Woman?" she asked the newspaper. "It would be great. And it would be a very bold choice. A black Wonder Woman would be a powerful thing. It's time for that, right?"

LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Christina Applegate "absolutely" wants to be a mom, she said in a new interview with the Nov. 16 issue of TV Guide - and it's likely to be sooner than later.

The "Samantha Who?" star, who was diagnosed with breast cancer in March and underwent a double mastectomy in July, says she has the BRCA1 gene - which makes "chances of ovarian cancer a lot higher, too."
